  • Cornerstone participated in a roundtable presented by Congressman Dold to explore strategies and policies to increase exports from the Illinois 10th District. One of the topics addressed included the pending free trade agreements between the U.S. and Korea, Panama, and Columbia. Manufacturers presented their concerns to a panel that included the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Japan and Korean Trade Specialist, Past Chairman of Lake County Partners, and the Export Assistance Service of Libertyville.

  • Chicago-area Blue Tech Consortium Established
    On July 13th, 2011 water equipment and technology manufacturing executives from the greater-Chicago area gathered to discuss forming a water technology consortium to serve the region’s water and wastewater business’s international interests. The primary mission is to promote the region as a global center of water industry expertise.   Cornerstone International organized and hosted the roundtable that attracted 20 participants who were asked to comment on their experience with international sales and exporting. Overall, the group showed a strong interest in forming a consortium with the support of government entities responsible for the region’s economic development, investment and promotion. Networking among the participants showed promise for future collaborations on local and international water-related projects.
